PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement in stability and high reliability of laser light output of a semiconductor laser light source by preventing reflected light from the entrance end surface of an optical fiber from returning to the semiconductor laser light source. SOLUTION: An angleβbetween a principal ray of incident light 9 and a marginal ray of reflected light 15 nearest to the principal ray of the incident light 9, when the reflected light 15 is the incident light reflected on an entrance end surface of the optical fiber, is larger than an angleθbetween the principal ray and the marginal ray of the incident light 9 incident on an optical fiber 8 via a lens system 6. A receiving surface is provided separately from an inner surface of a light-passing hole 27 so that the reflected light 15 is received by the receiving surface, which is the characteristic of the semiconductor laser module.
