PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation meter with improved measurement accuracy of measuring the number of rotations. SOLUTION: The rotational meter (1) includes: a detection part (3) for detecting the rotation of a rotating body (10) and outputting a signal corresponding to the number of rotations of the rotating body; and a calculation part (30) for calculating the number of rotations of the rotating body (10) according to the output of the detection part (3) and outputting it for each prescribed unit measurement time. The calculation part (30) calculates the number of rotations for each first unit measurement time (10 ms) when the rate of increase in the number of rotations of the rotating body (10) is less than a threshold (5%), and calculates the number of rotations for each second unit measurement time (2 ms) shorter than the first unit measurement time (10 ms) while the rate of increase in the number of rotations of the rotating body (10) is not less than the threshold (5%).
