PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential gear having a simple structure and capable of producing a difference of differential limiting force between a driving operation and a coasting operation, securing durability of a thrust bearing and obtaining stable differential limiting force. SOLUTION: Helical side gears 5, 7 receive thrust force to directions opposite to facing directions (arrow A directions) by drive torque during a driving operation, and the pair of helical side gears 5, 7 receive thrust force to the facing directions (arrow B directions) by drive torque during a coasting operation. A differential case 3 has inner receiving faces 39, 41 for receiving the helical side gears 5, 7 in the rotating shaft direction. Annular inner opposing faces 55, 57 and annular outer opposing faces 59, 61 are provided on the inner peripheral sides of tooth-breadthwise end parts of gear parts 5a, 7a of the helical side gears 5, 7, and a thrust bearing 77 having a plurality of rollers 77a in the circumferential direction is arranged between the inner opposing faces 55, 57.
