The present invention relates to a polymer bead foam for providing sound insulation between spaces (e.g., in floors and/or between rooms of building). The present invention also relates to a process for forming the polymer bead foam as well as using the foam. Preferably the polymer bead foam is formed from a plurality of smaller polymer bead and a plurality of larger polymer beads that come together to form a foam with improved properties.
