<p>The invention relates to a cutting tool for severing profiles having an open cross section, the tool comprising a base (1) and a blade (2) having two opposite ends, said blade being moveably mounted on a support (3) which is attached to the base (1) and which enables the blade (2) to be moved in a cutting plane between an open position for accommodating, between the support (3) and the blade (2), a profile which is to be severed, and a closed position at the end of a cutting operation. The support (3) comprises a die (7) which is intended to be covered by the profile to be severed and which is provided with a slot intended to receive the blade (2) during a cutting operation, and the blade (2) comprises a punch situated between the two opposite ends, and two flat cutting edges extending from the punch towards one or other of the two ends, respectively.</p> |
