<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna control apparatus, receiver, antenna control method and the like in which communication accuracy is improved by making proper a field strength of a communication signal. <P>SOLUTION: A receiver 1 comprises: a variable directional antenna 2; a LNA 3 for amplifying a signal inputted from the variable directional antenna 2; a tuner unit 41 for selecting a signal inputted from the LNA 3 and amplifying it to a predetermined strength; a demodulation unit 42 for demodulating a signal outputted from the tuner unit 41; an antenna directivity switching control unit 45 for detecting abnormality in a field strength of a reception signal based on a signal inputted to the demodulation unit 42; and a directivity control unit 6, controlled by the antenna directivity switching control unit 45, for controlling directivity of the variable directional antenna 2. When detecting that the field strength of the reception signal is abnormally great, the antenna directivity switching control unit 45 controls directivity of the variable directional antenna 2 and reduces a power value of a signal subjected to reception processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
