<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed optical fiber temperature sensor having an inexpensive apparatus constitution, and detecting a temperature change. <P>SOLUTION: The distributed optical fiber temperature sensor has: a to-be-measured optical fiber having a plurality of peaks in a Brillouin spectrum; a light source for introducing a measurement light into the to-be-measured optical fiber; and a temperature distribution detecting means for measuring a Brillouin scattering light generated in the to-be-measured optical fiber, and measuring a temperature distribution in the to-be-measured optical fiber based on a change in a difference between frequencies at the peaks in the Brillouin spectrum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
