[PROBLEMS] A syringe barrel and an injector which use a difference in sliding resistances to allow, at the time of injection, an operator to sense the amount of injection of medicinal liquid or the push-in distance of a piston. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] The injector (1) has on the inner surface of the syringe barrel (11) a structure for changing stepwise a sliding resistance (F) when the piston (32) is slid. In the syringe barrel (11), steps each having an edge that rises from the rear end toward the front end of the syringe barrel or from the front end toward the rear end of the syringe barrel and extends in the circumferential direction are formed at one or more positions in the axial direction of the inner surface.
