<p>A fuel pressure detection device used for a fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine, in which the fuel injection system supplies fuel from a common rail (pressure accumulator) to an injector (fuel injection valve) via high-pressure piping to inject the fuel from a nozzle formed in the injector. The fuel pressure detection device has a thin-walled section (70bz) formed by locally reducing the wall thickness of a path member (such as a connector (70z) for interconnecting a high-pressure piping and an injector body (4z), high-pressure piping, and the injector) forming a high-pressure fuel path leading from the exit of the common rail to the nozzle. A strain gage (60z)(strain sensor) is applied to the thin-walled section (70bz). The strain gage (60z) detects strain induced in the thin-walled section (70bz) by the fuel pressure in the high-pressure fuel path (70az).</p> |
