The player has a bearing shaft (3) made of an electrically insulating material e.g. ceramic, and provided either in a turntable suspension and/or a pickup arm suspension. The shaft is formed as a mechanical rotating or pivoting connection by two metallic conducting parts (5, 6). The conducting parts are guided by the shaft and are provided with an opposite acting electrostatic unloading device (7) that is implemented as a brush (9). The unloading device is formed from metal and/or electrically conducting plastic. The parts are made of plastic or carbon.
