Method for signal period measuring with adaptive triggers, the starting value of positive trigger is above the minimal value of the positive trigger, the value is above the value of a single way component of the input signal. Maximal and minimal values of the signal are measured out of which are counted the following values of positive trigger and the value of the negative trigger. Measuring positive half periods of the signal is obtained by measuring time interval from the moment when the input signal becomes higher than the value of the positive trigger to the moment when the input signal becomes less than the value of the negative trigger and when measuring of the negative period of signal starts and it ends when the input signal becomes higher than the value of the positive trigger. Measuring of the positive and negative half period repeats repeatedly several times and the measured half periods are stored in the memory. Formation of two different sums of half periods and their difference has to be smaller than the provisorily given small value so that the sums represent several periods.
