The belt (5) has layers (16, 17, 20) lying on top of each other, and a lap (4) guided on the layer (16) exhibiting smooth and fiber adhesion-free surface (O) during a winding procedure, where side edges of the layers (17, 20) run over belt width (B) and in the direction of belt center at a distance (b) of 0.2 millimeter and 15 millimeter to respective side edge of the layer (16). The layer (16) is made of plastic or rubber mixture. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a belt.
