The portable container display unit has packing and a tool receiver for an accompanying tool. The tool receiver is formed from a component (8) which is separate from the packing and can be removed from it. It contains at least one tool. There is an open access side (18, 19) at the top. the container has at least one receiving box, open at the top and able to be covered by a covering component.
