The present invention relates to a shaping tool. This tool is made up of a shaping body (1) and the means necessary for mounting the shaping body (1) on a press (3, 4). One of the surfaces of the shaping body (1) is complementary to one of the shapes of the part (2) to be shaped. Securely mounted on said shaping body (1) is an electronic module (5) incorporating a sensor unit for recording the uses to which the shaping body (1) is put and a communication unit. The communication unit is capable of transmitting the data recorded by the sensor unit to a remote central unit (7).
