Apparatus for a game comprises a plurality of tessellating pieces which are flat, shaped pieces having a design on at least one surface. The pieces may have between 3 to 6 sides, the length of the sides being equal so that the pieces can be placed adjacent to each other to form a tessellating pattern. The surface design is such that when pieces are placed next to each other a continuous pattern may be formed. The surface design may comprise lines, coloured zones or two or more topologically different layouts. The game is played according to a predetermined set of rules. The design of the playing pieces may be used in an electronic game using the same set of rules. |
