<p>The attachment (10) has a proximal-sided connection (12) connecting with a surgical suture instrument (30). A hollow shaft-like body (18) has a curved hollow needle (22) provided at a distal side (20). A surgical thread (40) or a thread bundle is guided by the attachment and a cross section of the needle is in an oval-shape. A longer axis of the section extends in curvature level of the needle. A shorter axis of the cross section corresponds to diameter of a reinforced distal end of the thread or the bundle. An independent claim is also included for a surgical suture instrument comprising a rod-shaped body.</p> |
