摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element capable of forming an oblique deposition orientation film with a uniform film thickness, without modifying a deposition machine, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display element arranged opposedly with a pixel electrode substrate and a transparent electrode substrate via a liquid crystal is formed layeredly with the first oblique deposition orientation film deposition-formed from an oblique direction oblique to a substrate face, a perpendicular deposition film deposition-formed from a perpendicular direction perpendicular to the substrate face, and the second oblique deposition orientation film deposition-formed from an oblique direction symmetric from the oblique direction to a normal of the substrate face, after rotating upper and lower sides by 180°from the condition where the first oblique deposition orientation film is formed, via the perpendicular deposition film, in this order, in respective face sides contacting with the liquid crystal of the pixel electrode substrate and the transparent electrode substrate, and total thickness of the deposition films is made constant over the whole substrate face.
