PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having excellent display quality by satisfactorily suppressing a change of capacitance between a gate and a drain of a TFT. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device 10, a TFT 11 of a TFT substrate 12 is provided with a drain electrode 21 formed in an island shape and electrically connected to a pixel electrode 37 via a contact hole 40 formed in an interlayer insulating film 36 and a source electrode 20 disposed on the periphery of the drain electrode 21.
