PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit air from being sucked from a strainer while keeping rotation resistance of an engine low. SOLUTION: The strainer 70 is disposed between adjacent cylinders 29, 34 with respect to an axial direction of a crankshaft 51 in an oil reservoir 60. A bulkhead 65 extending in a direction perpendicular to an axial line of the crankshaft 51 and dividing the inside of a crankcase 50 into a plurality of chambers 56, 57 is formed between adjacent pistons 41a, 41b with respect to the axial direction of the crankshaft 51 in an oil pan 54. The bulkhead 65 is arranged to overlap a suction port 71 of the strainer 70 with respect to a vertical direction. A communication part 80 establishing mutual communication among the plurality of chambers 56, 57 is formed at a section different from the suction port 71 with respect to the vertical direction.
