PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability as well as convenience in use by preventing rainwater, dust, or the like from entering a case. SOLUTION: This opening holding device for a revolving door journals an approximately semicircular rotator 25 into the case 20 embedded so that the upper end surface is almost flush with a floor face 24, reversibly into a housed state of being housed under the floor face and into a working state of projecting on the floor face, and fixes the rotator into the housed state and working state respectively by a locking member 30 mounted to freely advance/retreat to/from the rotator, to prevent the closing motion of the revolving door opened in the working state of the rotator. The locking member 30 is mounted to advance/retreat horizontally to/from the rotator 25 by a guide member 27 provided at one side part in the case 20, and the upper face part of the locking member is composed of an operating face 34 almost flush with the upper end surface 21a of the case, and a blocking face 35 one step lower than the operating face and brought into sliding contact with an upper end rear face 21b of the case.
