PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an antimicrobial acrylic fiber having dyeability and colorfastness together with the antimicrobial property. SOLUTION: A method for dyeing the antimicrobial acrylic fiber includes immersing the acrylic fiber in a dispersion containing a zinc pyrithione complex, heat-treating the acrylic fiber in the dispersion at a temperature of 105 to 130°C, and dyeing the fiber at a temperature lower than the heat-treating temperature.
