PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an epoxy group-terminated (meth)acrylate, by which a transesterification can efficiently be performed to prepare the epoxy group-terminated (meth)acrylate in a high yield and in a purity sufficient to practical uses. SOLUTION: The method for producing the epoxy group-terminated (meth)acrylate represented by general formula (2) (wherein Y is a 2-8C saturated hydrocarbon group, and R is H or methyl group) comprises performing a transesterification of a lower alkyl (meth)acrylate with an ether represented by general formula (1), while removing a produced lower alcohol outside the reaction system in the presence of a metal alcoholate.
