PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for glass fiber which is sufficiently excellent in heat resistance and a bundling property, and to provide a glass fiber bundle which is bundled by the binder for glass fibers. SOLUTION: The binder for glass fiber comprises an epoxy resin, a silane coupling agent, and water. The content of the epoxy resin is 80-95 mass% on the basis of the total mass of a non-volatile component of the binder for glass fiber. The epoxy resin comprises a component (a): a bisphenol A type or F type epoxy resin having a weight average molecular weight of 2,500-20,000 and a component (b): a bisphenol A type or F type epoxy resin having a weight average molecular weight of 700 or less.
