PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevating/lowering device capable of using an existing actuator without enlarging it even when an elevating/lowering amount is increased, improving cost performance and lowering a main frame, and an elevating/lowering bed. SOLUTION: In the elevating/lowering device 2, a main frame 3 is provided with freely extendible and contractible multi-stage rods 81 and 82, the main frame 3 is provided with a linear actuator 12, and the main frame 3 is elevated and lowered by driving the actuator 12. One of roller chains to be slid and displaced in linkage with the operation of the linear actuator 12 is connected to the linear actuator 12, a guide part 20 for regulating the displacement off the route of the roller chain is provided in the arrangement route of the roller chain, and the guide part 20 is formed so as to guide the displacement direction of the other roller chain along the extending/contracting direction of the multi-stage rods 81 and 82.
