PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weeding tool capable of easily removing weed, dead leaf, waste, etc., in slight load on the body without damaging turf. SOLUTION: In the weeding tool, operation can be carried out in a state of body in which standing posture is natural and length of a shaft can be changed in a state fitted with height of a user so as to enable reduction of load on the body and a grip is formed as a pistol type and the grip has a shape and an angle capable of keeping action of operating arms, wrists and fingers in natural state and weeding and elimination of weed and soil attached are completed by simple and natural motion inserting the top (holding plate) of the tool into the root of weed and holding and opening an operation lever and weeding tool has a simple and lightweight structure which is applicable also to operation other than weeding. The tool enables both hand operation by opening an operation assisting handle attached firmly to the shaft when hand and fingers of an operator are tired or the operator is present in a place enabling both hand operation.
