By the addition of small quantities ofcerium in the composite on copper base, alloyed with manganese, phosphorus and lead, the wear resistance of the material is increased from 1.5 û 2.0 times and the coefficient of friction is reduced from 1.3 û 1.4 times in operation at extreme conditions (high pressure, vacuum).
