The material can be used for the production of sliding bearings, inserts, bushings, roller bearings, pivots and others, operating without any forced supply of lubrication, including in oxidation-free media and in vacuum, at high loading in rubbing units of machines and mechanisms in the field of instrumentation, mechanical engineering and the power industry. By the addition of small quantities ofcerium in the composite on copper base, alloyed with manganese, phosphorus and lead, the wear resistance of the material is increased from 1.5 û 2.0 times and the coefficient of friction is reduced from 1.3 û 1.4 times in operation at extreme conditions (high pressure, vacuum).
