<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe fat metabolism inhibitor having high fat metabolism inhibitory activity through solving problems wherein neutral fats are present at 50-150 mg/dL in blood in a hungry condition in the case of a healthy adult, and come to a maximum level 3-5 h after the meal; when the level of such neutral fats exceeds this normal level, fats accumulate under the skin and/or around the internal organs, leading to becoming obese, and/or accumulate in the liver, leading to fatty liver, and VLDL (very low density lipoprotein) is a factor causing arteriosclerosis; and to provide foods/drinks containing the above inhibitor. <P>SOLUTION: The fat metabolism inhibitor comprises an extract from Mycoleptodonoides aitchisonii carpophore.
