<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a person in a vehicle to quickly notice an important pieces of information among pieces of displayed information without fail, with respect to an image display device that displays a plurality of pieces of information in the form of images. <P>SOLUTION: If an external input signal relating to certain vehicle information is detected from a plurality of pieces of vehicle information (YES in S110, S130, or S150) in a display alteration process, the image display device displays this vehicle information in an emphatic mode rather than in a regular display mode (S120, S140, S160, and S220). Since such an image display device 1 emphasizes a display mode upon detecting an external input information, this makes a person in the vehicle more likely to become aware of the vehicle information corresponding to the external input information.
