<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact exhaust gas treating device, which reduces the load on an internal combustion, and can suppress costs of usage also. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas treating device 5 has a storage part 10 provided so as to extend downward from a horizontal part 4. Water is stored in the storage part 10, and a water surface 6 is provided with a filter member 16. Further, the exhaust gas treating device 5 has a shower member 11. The shower member 11 has an intake part 12 with one end immersed in water inside the storage part 10 and at the same time, with the other end extending upward, and a discharge channel 13 with one end connected to the upper end of the intake part 12 and at the same time, with the other end provided so as to extend horizontally upstream above the water surface 6. Three fountain heads 14 are provided at even intervals along an axial direction of the discharge channel 13 on the lower part surface 13b of the discharge channel 13.
