PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display symbols clearly and in detail in a pachinko machine having a symbol display device composed of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The pachinko machine has auxiliary storing means separately from a symbol display device body or a control part of the pachinko machine. The auxiliary storing means exclusively stores symbol data for creating symbols to be displayed on a display screen of the symbol display device in advance. A display control means which selects symbol data from the auxiliary storing means according to the state of the play generated in the pachinko machine and displays symbols on the display screen is disposed in the symbol display device body, so that the storage area of symbol data for creating symbols to be displayed on the display screen can be secured and the number of symbol data can be increased, permitting use of a large-sized liquid crystal display screen.
