PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a desired pattern by preventing discharged ink from spreading on a substrate in a printing and drying process in forming a conductor pattern by an ink jet method. SOLUTION: Before ink is discharged from a head body 27, a temperature of a substrate 25 is measured by a substrate temperature detection means 9. The temperature of the substrate 25 is adjusted by operating a Peltier element group 23 by a controller 12 to set the temperature of the substrate 25 within a temperature setting range lower than the temperature of the ink. With the temperature of the substrate 25 kept in the temperature setting range, the ink is discharged, thereafter the inside of a drying vessel is depressurized in the state where the temperature of the substrate 25 carried in the drying vessel is adjusted to keep the ink deposited on the substrate 25 at an appropriate viscosity, and the substrate 25 is dried.
