摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing aluminum electrode foil (etched foil) for use of an electrolytic capacitor having a large electrostatic capacitance without lowering productivity, by improving a current waveform in AC etching. SOLUTION: By the method for manufacturing aluminum electrode foil for use of an electrolytic capacitor, in an etching process which roughens both surfaces of aluminum foil by AC electrolysis of both surfaces of the aluminum foil in an etchant containing chlorine ion, AC current is applied between electrodes facing the both surfaces of the aluminum foil in the etchant. A waveform of the AC current includes a principal waveform 1 composed of AC waveform and an auxiliary waveform 2 keeping a zero state of a current level for a predetermined period, and, herein, the auxiliary waveform 2 appears with a period of (n+0.5) times of a period of the AC waveform 1, where n is a positive integer. It is preferable that the appearance period of the auxiliary waveform 2 is 0.05 to 2.0 seconds and n is 2 to 200. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
