PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Yuzen printed products having a painted pattern with a shadow projected at the rear side of articles when irradiating the articles with light, so that the products are rich in three-dimensional feeling. SOLUTION: A method includes: an outline drawing paste-putting step for drawing outlines of surface pattern-forming parts on a cloth 1 with an outline-drawing paste 2; a dye preventive paste-putting step for coating a dye-preventive paste 3 in the outlines; a brush dyeing step for coloring the cloth with a dye liquor containing a dye 4; a shadow-adding step for painting a shadow 6 with a dye liquor containing a dye and an ooze preventive at positions where the outlines are moved in parallel and washing out the dye-preventive paste 3; and a coloring step for coloring the outlined space (painting pattern 7) with a dyeing liquid containing a dye, an ooze preventive and whitewash.
