PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle interior component that allows a user to emphasize user's individuality or to enjoy vehicle dress-up while preventing decoration members from peeling off or scattering, and a vehicle decoration method. SOLUTION: The vehicle decoration method for decorating a vehicle by bonding decoration members 22 onto the surface of a vehicle interior component 21 includes the step of forming a recessed part 23 in part where a decoration member 22 is arranged to protrude and expose part of the decoration member 22 from the surface 21a, bonding the decoration member 22 to the recessed part 23 and forming a coating layer 25 on the surface of the decoration part.
