摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid that jamming of a recording medium cannot be detected even if it takes place during a time while an output of a sensor does not change until a rear end of the recording medium comes out in the case of printing to the long recording medium, and that it cannot be detected as jamming when the jamming takes place in a conveyance path on a conveyance direction downstream side as long as the movement of an ink ribbon is normal. SOLUTION: Jamming of the recording medium is detected by the detection result of both a pressurization roller which is present on the conveyance direction downstream side from a recording head and pressed in contact with a conveyance driving roller together with the recording medium by a pressurizing means, and a roller displacement detecting means which detects a displacement amount whereby the pressurization roller separates from the conveyance driving roller.
