PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine which makes it possible to easily remove lint caught by a lint filter from the lint filter. SOLUTION: The lint filter 81 housed inside a lint filter housing part 82 catches the lint contained in drained water or circulated water. The lint caught by the lint filter 81 is stripped off from the inner surface of the filter by lint removal means formed of a helical brush 86 and a brush motor 88 for driving the brush and gathered in one direction in clumps. By detaching the lint filter 81 from the drum type washing machine, the lint in clumps is easily removed and lint removal work by a user is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
