PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid sterilizing detergent composition which stably exhibits sterilizing effect and cleaning effect on clothes or the like worn by those who need care which are soiled by excrement and does not easily resoil the clothes or the like. SOLUTION: The detergent composition is used for sterilization and cleansing of fiber goods. The liquid sterilizing detergent composition comprises the following components (A) to (C) as essential ingredients: (A) 2-10 mass% of a specific dialkyldimethylammonium salt; (B) 1-30 mass% of an alkali chemical; and (C) 1-30 mass% of a chelating agent.
