The invention relates to a method for deforming tubes (1), in particular for bending tubes with a bending radius that corresponds up to a maximum of double the outer diameter of the tube. Said method is characterised by the following steps: the tube (1) is heated in the area that is to be bent; it is then bent about the convex part of a bending die section (31); the bending die (3) is closed by a bending die section (32) that has a concave counter contour; excess pressure is applied in the tube lumen; the bent tube (1) is cooled, then the bending die (3) is opened and the bent tube (1) is removed.
