The door panel for a fire protection door or a fire protection flap comprises a box-shaped half shell (4) of steel plate, to which a cover (5) is connected and a door filling (6) of fireproof material. The cover has extending, U-shaped angled edge sections, which a door rabbet (7) in the shape of a hollow body. The rabbet is filled with an inflatable material (8), which on heating expands, bending the rabbet outwards. The expanding material contains vermicular graphite, which is bound with a thermically resistant binder. The box-shaped half shell on at least three peripheral surfaces has outwardly angled edge strips (10), on which the cover locates and is fixed. The angled edge strips are connected to the cover by spot welding. |
