Provided is a radio communication terminal device which can prevent reduction of the number of usable hopping amounts. In this device, a hopping pattern decision unit (105) decides a hopping pattern by referencing a hopping pattern table correlating sequence group numbers of sequence groups in which Zadoff-Chu sequences having different sequence lengths are grouped, with a plurality of hopping patterns. Moreover, among the sequence groups in the hopping pattern table, a plurality of hopping amounts for which a hopping amount difference is greater than the sample quantity corresponding to the maximum delay time of a delay wave are allocated to sequence groups having a high mutual correlation while arbitrary hopping amounts usable in the communication system are allocated to the sequence groups having a low mutual correlation.
