The opener (1) has a two pairs of contact surfaces (9, 10) arranged together in an acute angle, where the surfaces are attached tangential to a cap to be opened. Each bearing surface pair arranged together comprises bearing surfaces (5-8). An opening direction of one of the pair of bearing surfaces is oriented opposite in an angle of ninety degrees to an opening direction of other pair of the bearing surfaces. The pairs of bearing surfaces define two screw cap positioning planes, which are spaced apart from each other and parallel to each other.
