<p>An automated toilet seat ( 10) used in combination with a toilet ( 100) that comprises a housing assembly (20) with a motor assembly (50) housed therein. The motor assembly (50) also comprises a control box (64) with a switch (66) and an electrical wire (72) extending from the control box (64) to a sensor (74). The sensor (74) comprises an optical switch that emits a continuous laser-beam (76). A moving arm assembly (80) has a shaft (82) with a fixed sleeve (84) and a connector (90) extending therefrom. Extending from the connector (90) are first and second arms (86 and 88) that are mounted to an underside of the toilet seat ( 1 12). Toilet seat lifting/ lowering means comprise the continuous laser-beam (76) being interrupted to activate the motor (52) that engage the moving arm assembly (80) to move the seat ( 1 12) to a lifted or a lowered position.</p> |
