Disclosed is a method of reconfiguring a scoop tray device from a primary mode of operation to a secondary mode of operation. In the primary mode of operation animal waste is collected whilst the scoop tray device is being drawn along the ground with its wheels in a retracted position, and wherein in the secondary mode of operation the wheels are lowered such that the scoop tray device is in the form of a trailer.
