PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer capable of avoiding a phenomenon in which a thermal head sticks to a printing face during half-pitch printing. SOLUTION: In a first step of half-pitch printing, printing for half-dot is usually performed. Instead of this, printing is performed so that a printing area corresponds to almost one dot. In a second step of printing, entire dot power supply is performed for suppressing the temperature decrease of the thermal head.
