摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent undesirable and unexpected loss of power to a vehicle engine or the engine misfiring. SOLUTION: A fuel injection apparatus is provided with at least one fuel injector (34, 36) which is connected in an injector drive circuit (6a) powered by a power supply (45). The method of controlling the above apparatus includes the steps of: obtaining an injector event sequence of at least one fuel injector (34, 36) based on at least one engine operating parameter (30); obtaining a power supply parameter (72, D, V<SB>AV</SB>, 106, 108, I) of the power supply (45); comparing the power supply parameter (72, D, V<SB>AV</SB>, 106, 108, I) to a predetermined power supply-parameter threshold level; and obtaining a modified injection event sequence in the event that the power supply parameter (72, D, V<SB>AV</SB>, 106, 108, I) is substantially equal to or greater than the above threshold level.
