PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of reducing the load of processing of tone value data. SOLUTION: An image processing method includes: a step of generating first integral data indicating values associated with the sum value of tone values in a rectangle in which a reference pixel as a pixel on a predetermined apex of an image and each of pixels form a diagonal; a step of executing calculation processing including processing for utilizing the first integral data to calculate a first calculation value having correlation with the total tone value in a target rectangle region; and a step of executing image processing related to the target rectangle region in accordance with a result of the calculation processing.
