PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing a re-transferring, enhancing the sharpness of an image or making the image high in glossiness. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 is provided with: a plurality of image forming means Sc, Sy, SSm and Sk provided along the travelling direction of transfer material P and forming toner images on the transfer material P by each using a color toner; and an agent coating means St for coating a transparent agent on the transfer material P.
