PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a height of a magnetic element to a height level of a horizontally-mounted core. SOLUTION: A magnetic element has a first core 1 and a second core 2. The first core 1 has a core part around which a winding is wound, and two flanges respectively arranged at each of both ends and respectively formed with a bottom face and side faces. The second core 2 has a first face arranged oppositely to the side face of one flange of the first core 1, and a second face oppositely arranged to the side face of the other flange of the first core 1.
