PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a driving force transmitting pulley capable of welding a fixed sheave or movable sheave to a shaft member satisfactorily in a short period of time, reducing cycle time and improving assembling accuracy during manufacturing, and suppressing stress concentration and improving strength by removing a notch at a welding part of the fixed sheave or the movable sheave to the shaft member. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the driving force transmitting pulley for transmitting the driving force of a vehicle includes: a folding step for forming a folded portion by bending rim of an opening of the fixed sheave or the movable sheave in the radially outward direction thereof; a welding step for performing circular electric resistance welding by abutting an electrode on the folded portion and performing energization while press-fitting the shaft member in the opening, and welding the shaft member to the fixed sheave or the movable sheave; and a removal step for removing the folded portion after the welding step.
