PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt hand rope holder for a spinning rod, which can device the setting position and shape of the butt hand rope holder for the spinning rod to multiply the functions of the butt hand rope holder, and to provide a spinning rod equipped with the butt hand rope holder. SOLUTION: This butt hand rope holder 5 for the spinning rod includes: a tip side inclined receiving side 5A rising in a state separated from the outside surface 1A of a butt rod 1 toward the rod butt; and a butt side inclined receiving side 5B lowering in a state approaching the outside surface 1A of the butt rod 1 toward rod butt from the rod butt side end of the tip side inclined receiving side 5A, in a state along the curve of a wrist, at a fisherman wrist-placing site in a state that the fisherman grips a reel seat 2 and places his elbow in a rod butt end portion.
